A skill that I learned through diigo is archiving snapshots of webpages.  Diigo is useful for collaboration and group activity. This can be used in the classroom to provide extended learning to students. Students can research important topics related to the curriculum and annotate for other students to view/comment.    The next topic I will discuss is how will I use Bloom's Taxonomy in my powerpoint for student learning. The first level of the is knowledge. The topic that will be discuss is how to the conduct experiments and how to test them. The knowledge presented on the topic will be  use to inform students. The two levels is comprehension and application. In my powerpoint students will be quizzed at the end through trivia, or a game. The questions being asked will have real life applications for students to critical think of the best solution. The remaining of the levels which are analysis, synthesis, and evaluation will be represented wh...

ILP#2

For my ILP#2, I used a social networking app called Wabisabi. Still not sure how to properly pronounce it but this app is very similar to facebook. This site is a platform for educators to share ideas, standards, and make global connections with other educators. Students and learners are able to access teacher's classrooms virtually and access information regarding the class. Voice thread.

My experience with twitter has been great so far. Now that I gotten the hang of it. I see myself using twitter more often in the future. I've learn how keep track my posts from the first day I've started twitter and have been with interacting more on twitter. A benefit from using twitter is gaining opportunities from different sources. Some new skills I acquired from the website design assignment, is editing different gadgets and tools on the site. What I didn't like about the editing was that there was limited options. I think the site builder should have more designs and options that are easily able to access. I can use this in the future to create better websites for my classroom. Assistive and adaptive technologies help with individuals with different types of disabilities. It can be any device that helps work specifically for that individual person with the learning disability. My high school had a few students who had such technology and also had a classroom with ...

The school website that I viewed was 'Sierra Elementary School'. Comparing teacher's pages, I've noticed that they all have the same content. Some of the class pages that I'd viewed have very detailed page informing students about what's going on in the classroom. Some classroom pages have rules list, supplies list, etc.I've notice classroom pages would implement school policies and codes. Also parents and students can view photos from class achievements, field trips and school events. Classroom page I can envision myself using technology by using it for group activities and presentation. Even try to create a better tool for students to use inside and outside classroom setting. Using technology in the classroom help with time management, enforcing positive interaction and communication skills. My overall experience of the Technology Sandbox was interesting and very cool. For a small room it had so much technology and tools that are great for tea...

Diigo is a tool that helps bookmark pages from websites and can add notes, highlight and comment on other's annotated work. This tool is also a platform where viewers can see what is bookmark through a feed and can view other people's bookmarked pages too. One thing I like about Diigo is that it's an extension which is helpful  to gain access to when needing the tool. Also, the tool pops up automatically when viewing an article and PDFs. So far my experience with blogging has been pretty good. I am able to express myself more within my blogs about topics. I think the only chanelleg that I might face from time to time with blogging is trying to come up with the right words or even trying to write naturally at times.  A web tool that I can use for my teaching is a website called Dosomething.org. This is a website helps implement social change and awareness for students worldwide. Dosomething.org helps promote social responsibility to take action to causes that are hap...

My earlier experiences with twitter was challenging at first. I didn't know what was the purpose of twitter at the time on my first attempt and basically got off of twitter for a while. During my time away I ask a few friends how to use and what were their viewpoints on twitter. Twitter took some time to getting used to and now that I gotten the hang of it I'm able to interact with students from school. This is beneficial for communication and daily streaming. Depending on who I follow, I am able to interact with others, share and relate through twitter feeds. Twitter can be helpful platform to search for jobs and advance career skills.     Digital Divide can affect student success by students not having access to  technology in or outside of school.  Some causes could be the lack of technology funded in schools. Another reason could be that the student does not have access to technology and would cause the student to be unsuccessful. As a classr...

ILP Design- Trello

The tool that I used for the ILP design is called Trello. Trello is a resource that helps people plan, prioritize and help manage tasks. Trello is a free website which anyone can access. This is basically an online planner, instead of writing down a list of things needing to get done. You can create a board of ideas, lists, events with using this tool such as Trello to plan things out. This tool is a great source for education. Especially when it comes to teacher's lesson planning. Using this tool, teachers can plan out their lessons, prioritize different assignments and assessments and organize events for the classroom. Students are able to organize their life events such as assignments for school, upcoming events. Trello . Voicethread
